Car travel

Cats don’t always make the best passengers.

Whenever you travel by  your car, always make sure your kitten or your cat is as comfortable as possible, making your life much easier!

Traveling essentials

Before embarking on your travel, make sure you have a:

·         large pet carrier(to have extra space for your cat)

·         light sheet to cover the carrier easily

·         small disposable litter tray to place into the carrier for your little friend

·         food bottle and water bowl.

Always keep your cat in the carrier, which should be securely fastened to reduce the risk of injury for you and for your cat.

Here are some useful tips for a comfortable journey:

  •   Introduce your cat to car travel before your travel. For example, start with a short trip around the block and slowly lead up to a longer journey. It will help your cat to be comfortable,
  •    A waterproof sheet is important for the car seat.
  •   Always carry paper towels and tissues and a safe disinfectant in case of an accident.
  •   Take along your kitten's favorite toy or blanket.
  •    Make a habit of stopping every couple of hours for a toilet break and a drink of water. It also helps your cat to be healthy and comfortable during travel.
  •    It can be a nice idea not to feed your kitty too large a meal prior to travel. Some animals are likely to experience carsickness and it makes them annoying.
  •   Open the window so your cat gets adequate ventilation(even you yourself need fresh air).
  •    Never leave your cat in a hot car, even for a few minutes. It’s harmful for your cat’s health.
